Our emotional support cat has hyperthyroidism
Please help us continue treatment for Mr Whiskers who has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and needs a dental check up.

Mr Whiskers (Sox) is our beloved communal housing emotional support cat, he belongs to no one person but is a friend and companion to many, he has recently been unwell so I have assumed responsibilty for his veterinary care.
He has been diagnosed with an overactive thyroid gland, which is a complex condition esp in an older cat, he requires ongoing veterinary treatment and a specialised diet, which I am struggling to afford on my sickness benefit, there are several of us that contribute to his vet care fund, but we want to ensure we can continue to provide him with his thyroid medication, check ups, dental treatment and specialised diet so he has the best quality of life for his remaining years.

Good news from the vet! 11 November 2025
Meow meow hoomans, we have had some good news from Dr Dom at Halifax Vets, my blood results have come back and my thyroid levels have stabilised, which means the medicine I've been letting them give me is working well! Hopefully soon I'll be healthy enough to book in for my dental treatment and finally sort out what's going on with my sore mouth.
