A page for Zoe to get the treatment she needs to help heal her liver and live a full life!
Glenfield, Auckland
Our 16year old Zoe is the most vibrant young lady, last year she was diagnosed with Inflammatory bowel disease something that limited her ability to go to school, socialize with friends and even eat the foods we should all enjoy.
Fortunately there is some medication that can help, although they don't come without their side effects.
Sadly this year she was diagnosed with Primary sclerosing cholangitis. This means her bile ducts are attacking themselves, causing severe inflammation if the liver - limiting its function and Zoes ability to absorb nutrients further.
Right now conventional medicine has no answers or treatments, until liver transplant takes place. The good news is that there is plenty of research supporting use of such therapies as - Acupuncture, Infrared light therapy, IV vitamin C/Glutathione, diet and even fecal transplant therapy that has supported patients into a remission that has sustained years. Please help us help Zoe access these with the hopes we can keep her well now and forever!!!
The money will be used to support intense treatment for Zoe over the next 6 months. Including weekly infrared, ozone, IV vitamin C/Glutathione, acupuncture, special diet requirements if this fails we hope to travel overseas for fecal transplant therapy.
Thank you all so much 27 December 2022
Just wanted to jump on and thank you ALL so very much. As soon as the money becomes available I will be booking Zoe in for treatments. So far trying to have a nice Xmas and enjoy the moment. The first thing we did with Zoe however last week was some therapy - I feel getting the headspace right is important, this is a hell of alot for her to process.
To give a gage of where she was with regards to her liver - via blood, her enzymes were up over 500 (should be under 45). This will be the gage, she will be having monthly bloods done + 6 monthly routine ultrasounds. I will keep posted WHEN her enzymes go back to normal!
On the plus side through the magic of social media I have found x 1other child in the country with the same thing, very much looking forward to catching up with his mum in the new year to see how they are progressing and if anything has helped them.
As a whole, Zoe is doing well - she is trucking along, being her carefree self. Once again thank you, thank you, thank you all!
