Please, support a young gymnast

Maria Malkova is a Senior International rhythmic gymnast. At just 16 years of age Maria has won multiple Nationals Championships. A few weeks ago Maria has been selected to represent New Zealand at the prestigious Pacific Rim Championships which will be held in April in Cali, Colombia.

Unfortunately there is no funding for rhythmic gymnastics in New Zealand. Everything is self funded. The trip to Cali is approximately $7000. In addition to the Pacific Rim Championships, Maria will travel to Australia to compete and prepare for the tour.

Maria is a year 12 student at Westlake. In her spare time Maria helps coach and mentor the younger gymnastics at her club, North Harbour Gymnastics. Maria is an extremely hard worker and always goes out of her way to help others. She was awarded hardest working rhythmic gymnast at her club this year. She is very passionate about her sport and is always willing to go the extra mile to improve.

Training fees, apparatus and leotards are all very expensive and all are funded by the gymnasts families.

Maria would appreciate any donations large or small to assist on her journey to Colombia.
