Please help Brenda live out her final Weeks/Months stress free
Canterbury
My Husband and I are setting up this page for our Aunty B ‘Brenda’, About 6 months ago Brenda went to the emergency department with pain behind her ribs, the findings of this were that she had operable Cancer, obviously all her family and friends were shocked but happy that this could be fixed. The Doctors done a routine ‘Dye’ test which straight away changed Brenda’s life, the results showed that they could NOT operate that the Cancer had already spread to her Lung, Spine and Gland and is now also in her Brain in 3 places, she has been given months to live not years.
Brenda is going through a lot of treatment to try and keep her comfortable. They have treated the 3 Cancers in her Brain and Spine with very strong Radiation. After the treatment she went to visit family where she fell backwards onto a coffee table breaking a bone in her spine. The pain from that has put her back in hospital where they have found that the brain tumours have come back already. This has now limited Brenda’s movement, memory and speech, she also is losing sensation in her fingers, and has also lost her hair, I have to say to have never seen someone cry and then see them crumble in a pile on the floor after losing their hair was totally heart breaking.
Brenda has accepted her fate but needs a little help to finalise a few things. She wants to be able to pay for her Funeral, she wants to write a special book each for her grandchildren, she needs a mobility scooter so she can at least get out of the house among other things, any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is my Aunty, she is terminally ill and I want to help take some pressure off her in her final weeks/months
To purchase a mobility scooter, help her pay for her Funeral as this diagnosis came very sudden and she wants to write a book for grandchildren, as well as to help her live day to day
Update on Brenda 31 December 2017
Brenda is in a bad way, she may not be able to go home as she is now on borrowed time, the funding now ifs to raise some funds to help Gerard (her son) with all her care and funeral arrangements, something that Brenda desperately wanted to do herself, Brenda is still confident that she will be going home and we are happy that when she is 'with it' that she feels this way, we hope that positive attitude that she has kept right thru will keep her going for a while longer.
