Pōkeno Tennis Club Grows to Pōkeno Tennis and Recreation Hub
Pōkeno Tennis and Recreation HUB's clubhouse is in dire need of repair.

The Pōkeno Tennis Club which is over 100 years old and on Avon Road is getting a long overdue facelift. Thanks to the Waikato District Council, the tennis courts are being resurfaced. The exciting news is that this will include two more multi-purpose courts that can be used for other sports such as Basketball, Futsal, Netball and Pickleball. We would love to encourage more Pōkeno residents, particularly our youth to use these facilities. The name has changed to Pōkeno Tennis and Recreation Hub. Those are exciting changes, however, the clubhouse is in need of repair and we are asking our community to help raise funds to make it as beautiful as the new courts.

We are motivated team who are keen , go getters who want a happy and healthy area where all can gather in a safe and welcoming environment. Bronwyn is the Pōkeno Tennis and Recreation Hub Committee Head Chair and will be receiving the funds until we can get our own account.
Use of funds
Our clubhouse needs some TLC such as new windows, doors, washrooms, kitchen updates so we can service more groups to better enjoy this space.
