Poppy needs a very expensive specialist Vet to perform her life saving surgery and correcting her ectopic uteres. 4 Poppy♡ 4 Life♡

Poppy is the precious new addition to my small beloved family of Kora, a hunterway rottie cross, Tyla my daughter and me. Poppy is a purebred American Bulldog puppy of only 5 months, mothered by my daughter’s AB, Zah fathered by the AB known asTama. Her being family from the get go has definately made it more upsetting and harder for us to accept that she was born with the defect known as an Ectopic Uteres. Defined by the fact that either one or both lines from her kidneys are bypassing her bladder and going directly to her uterus. Since her urine is not being stored in her bladder shes unable to control her need to go and will leak urine especially when excited and moreso while shes either relaxing or sleeping. Lessening not only her quality of life but the lives of all who love her like I myself do. The good news, it can be fixed! The bad news, at a rediculously high cost. And lets be honest vets have never been affordable and sadly pet insurance cannot play a part here. My fur babies mean the world to me and being told that if we cant find a way to afford the fix then it would be better if we have Miss Poppy put to rest. Well Im sorry but i just cannot conceive a day that I would allow this to simply be the case. I know many may think and say 'why bother, shes only a dog,?' but little do these people know how much of a positive influence owning a dog has had on my life and of others I know. How their unconditional love and simple life has humbled and bought a happiness to my own life. On the flipside though I was annoyed to learn how misinformed I was, how little I actually knew about dogs and how much prejudice I've come up against since having owning a dog. Hence why the mere thought of Poppy meeting her end before her natural time brings quite a few tears to my eyes. Especially since her ectopic uteres isn't life threatening as such and can be fixed. So everyday we hope and pray for that miracle to happen and make a way forward for Poppy.
Since Poppy came into our lives, my life changed and caring for her has become a full time job. At the start, I thought it was normal and thought once she was toilet trained she'd be right. However after countless you tube 'how to train puppy' videos, treats, training mats, cans of 'Oust', washing loads of just blankets, modifying toddler nappies, waterproofing her bed, the couch and anywhere she happens to park it, it's evident to me that all this and its bits of kiwi ingenuity has made life a little easier for now and nothing more. Making the ultimate goal here for Poppy.to have the life changing surgery required so important. Poppy is our family, our beautifully natured fur baby, full of curiousity and playfulness and deserving of all that can be done for her. So if you can help in any way, shape or form, then please do. We will welcome anything with open arms and loving appreciation.
We have seen Dr Alistair Coomer at VSA Advanced Veterinary Care in Auckland. Was informed what the cost would be. We only have a portion of this. We were led to believe a payment plan could be arranged and paid directly to the vet, this is no long longer an option. My final plee and from the bottom of my heart, I am reaching out and asking for your help so I can keep Poppy alive and here with me. Payments will be credited to and entrusted to my mother's nz bank account until it will be required to pay for vet services performed. Positive thoughts and much love to all, Sitareh, Poppy and family, xxx

Funds will be used to pay the specialist vet Dr Alistair Coomer for the surgery required to correct Poppys ectopic uterus. Funds exceeding will go towards aftercare. If things do not go to plan I will consider returning money dependant on circumstances.
