Recently diagnosed pre-diabetic looking for help in achieving a 20-30kg weight loss through hard work, exercise and diet.
Waikato
I never thought of myself as unhealthy. I am not a small person, but I don't eat like I thought someone who would get diabetes would.
Recently I just lost my part time job while studying, and it knocked me for six. Its hard to find a job that fits in with study hours, and I lost that due to unforeseen circumstances. If you need to know, I can tell you privately. This triggered my depression. I pushed through study, but I did not look after myself.
I had an accident which put my back out. I needed blood tests and physio. This, I thought was terrible. I was then given the blow of pre diabetic.
This, at its current stage is saveable. I can turn this around. Ill have to watch what I eat for the rest of my life so it doesn't blow up into diabetes, but with a massive change in lifestyle, I can do this. I just need a bit of help getting there.
At the moment 20kgs is my goal. Although I would love to smash out 30kgs.
City Fitness is my gym of choice I'd love to go to. Its 24/7, its close to home and I can warm myself up by walking or biking to the gym.
I want to join a gym, I'd live there if I could, but I am one who will just walk on a cross trainer and that's about it.
I need the drive and to be pushed. I know personal trainers are not cheap. This I need help with.
Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, or a personalised plan, I know personal trainers have access to this.
Food: I'd love to chuck out everything in my pantry and fridge and start fresh (give what I can to a food bank). No bad stuff. I need me some Kale.
