Pro Kiwi golfers club stolen trying to compete next week!

My golf clubs and gear got stolen and I’m heading overseas next week! Golf assets are very expensive and unsure what to do!

Auckland

Hey kind people,

I am a kiwi professional golfer trying to take my game to the next level but with no golf clubs I cannot compete. I’ll get straight to the point before a little description about me.

I was at my home club parked my clubs up and went down to the practice area with my wedges and putter to do a warm up before my round. It’s a wee way down and when I came back up my whole bag was gone. Recently we had thefts going on which I did not know. I must admit that this is totally my fault. I have called the cops and the club has footage of the theft.(a random guy not from the golf club)

The thing is I am headed overseas in a weeks time and some may know that golf is a heavily damaging sport financially trying to get better by going to international stages. Unfortunately I can’t be covered with my insurance and buying a whole new set is a big task at this moment.

About me: This is my 5th year as a Pro. Moved over to NZ at the age of 1. Played and represented New Zealand for 2 years proudly in my amateur days and also for my province Auckland. This year I have been playing in NZ tour, Australasian Tour and PGA Tour China. Recent win came in Kaikoura Pro Am in October.

I would really love to have some golf clubs to play with so if anyone who would put up their hand to give a little it would be very very gratefully appreciated.

Thank you!

Sam

We are good now!  23 November 2019

Hello everyone!

Thanks to many support I will be able to get some new clubs and gear!

Would like to thank everyone for their kindness and I’m very blessed to have you people around me.

Unfortunately I will be taking borrowed clubs to Sydney tomorrow as my clubs wouldn’t get here in time anyways if I ordered it.

Still hope to do well and once again I hope everyone knows how thankful I am.

Kind regards,

Sam
