Hello everyone!

As most of you know I am heading to Africa in 2019, as part of my journey through Africa I am visiting a wonderful project called Project Moroto. Project Moroto is a faith-based charity that was started in 2011 by New Zealander Jayne Bailey. This charity provides a safe place and home for 22 beautiful orphan girls and gives them opportunities to be educated, empowered and part of a family. I will be living with these girls for 2 months whilst in Africa and I am very excited. Check out the link for more http://projectmoroto.com/about-us/

As part of being here I want to raise awareness of period poverty. In Africa 1 in 10 young women do not have access to basic menstrual care products, these girls will sit on cardboard for several days each month and often will go without food unless someone brings it to them and they miss school! This is something we often take for granted in the western world. If you want to know more about this head to https://www.daysforgirls.org/ for more info!

As part of my trip I am raising money for;

1) Sanitary pads and reusable period kits so these women are not affected by their monthly cycle when learning

2) School fees for these wonderful young woman to become educated

If you would like to put even a small amount of money it would go a long way. Thank you for reading!
