Psychotic and Manic break ruins person financially --> help me get back on my feet

$300 of $5,331 goal
Given by 11 generous donors in around 3 months

I am seeking a socially just outcome for a person with severe mental health trauma and the ensuing disabilities and negative outcomes.

Auckland

In 2018 I got under a huge amount of pressure over a woman I loved and it caused me to stop taking my psychotropic medication and a waterfall of events meant I crashed my Ute into another road user after cancelling my comprehensive AA insurance as I "wouldn't have a crash". Illogical given my state; yet this is what happens to people under extreme strain --> we can all make bad decisions. I have seen a lot of these fundraising efforts for people with physical illnesses though none for people like me who have had some bad luck and are paying for it. I can't afford to get another work Ute to do part time landscaping work while I rebuild my life due to this Collection House debt. I am very remorseful about the crash and do not truly understand my inclinations which occur under extreme strain; I am committed to building my resilience so this doesn't happen again. I would like some help from the community to pay off the $5,061.02 I still owe; having paid towards $1,600 or so myself at $10-$25 a week since I came back to my senses following hospitalisation and rehabilitation, remembering that I had crashed and realised I did owe money. Final aim amount includes 5% Givealittle service fee.

Use of funds

This money will go directly into paying off my $5,061.02 cents left owing to IAG through Collection House; if any further income it will go to purchasing a replacement work Ute.

Thank you 🙏 for your kindness 😊   15 August 2021

I would never have made such a bold campaign had I been on my meds haha 😂 knowing what I know about how people judge mental well-being and support things such as cancer ♋️! Even though I tried and you guys supported me for which I am truly grateful 🥲 we got nowhere near the total required to do too much! The debt 💸 has been reduced a bit and I’m stoked but work continues as always and I must be supposed to do art 🖼 and music 🎼 rather than my own gardening 👨‍🌾 work it would seem. Thank you 😊 for caring enough to support my project. It means a lot 🥲. I find it unusual how mental health and physical health are seen so differently when Dr’s 👨‍⚕️ like Gabor Maté 🧉 and Norman Cousins 🌌 illustrate how they are so very connected. Peace ✌️ and Respect ✊🏾, David.
