Our Community needs amazing people like you to help us purchase a School Bus for Pukehou School. Please help our school to thrive.

As our funded bus run is being cut at the end of this year we need to find a solution to transport the 60 of our students that require a bus service to our rural location.

After a community Hui, it was decided the best option is to purchase our own private bus.

This will ensure our kids can still get to school. The Pukehou community have prioritised raising the money required to operate a private bus service ourselves. The initial financial outlay to purchase a bus suitable to transport the sixty students that require this service is substantial! As well as fundraising initiatives within the community, we are setting up this give a little page, to help raise funds.

Please give generously. Its important to us to help our families out and find a transport solution.

If everyone pitches in we can accomplish this mission.

Thank you for supporting the future of Pukehou school and our children.

About us

Pukehou School is proud to provide outstanding education for Year 1-8 students. Lying halfway between Hastings and Waipukurau we have a current roll of ninety-five pupils. The School is the core of the Pukehou Community and the children have a strong sense of Tangatawhenuatanga/belonging and pride in being part of their school and wider community.

We feel extremely passionate about our thriving school and the excellent education our children receive. The children are academically challenged but also taught to be critical thinkers, given the opportunity to develop rangatiratanga/leadership skills and work together. Students leave Pukehou School with resilience, initiative, and the skills to be leaders of the future. Pukehou prides itself on being a genuine country Enviro School. We aim to develop confident learners who accept social responsibility and live sustainably.

Use of funds

The money will be spent on purchasing a School Bus to transport students to and from school , the funds will also help with additional costs such as licensing, and vehicle maintenance and driver costs.
