Red Hill, Auckland
Pukekiwiriki remains a symbol of ancestral strength and endurance for the iwi and hapū connected to Tāmaki Makaurau. It’s a key site for acknowledging whakapapa and continuing the cultural practices of the past.
Community initiatives around Pukekiwiriki aim to foster pride in Māori heritage and to remind us of the deep whakapapa that ties the land and people together.
We're celebrating Pukekiwiriki Kapa Haka's 50th reunion. We aim to reignite the group's vibrant legacy by reconnecting with past members, organising a special event, and securing its future with your generous support.
We’re raising funds to bring our vision for this 50th reunion to life. The money will go towards gathering our former members, organising the event, and providing support to re-establish the group for future generations. With your generosity, we hope to create a space where those who were part of Pukerkiwiriki in the past can reconnect, share their memories, and celebrate the legacy they helped build, while also inspiring a new generation to take part in the kaupapa.
