Puppy Needs Urgent Specialist Surgery

$655 of $8,000 goal
Given by 26 generous donors in around 3 months

A pup born in our care has been diagnosed as intersex, an extremely rare condition that requires complex surgery.

Taranaki

A pup born in our care has been diagnosed as intersex, an extremely rare condition that requires complex surgery to allow the pup to live a comfortable and happy life.

The trust successfully rehomed all litter mates into loving homes once they were weaned off their mum. They have all been attending puppy training to make sure they are provided with the best start with their new families.

Four months on this loving wee pup needs specialist surgery - born intersex, means the pup was born with both male and female genitalia.

Specialist surgery is required as soon as possible.

As the pup gets older the condition will cause more and more discomfort.

We are seeking help with surgery costs, giving the pup the best chance for a long comfortable life.

The procedure required involves a referral to experienced specialist medical care outside of our region, and could cost up to $8000.

Although insurance is in place, cover does not include a congenital issue, so in this instance insurance cannot help.

We couldn’t care for dogs in need without the kind and generous support of people like you. Any donations that can help this pup get the surgery needed would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support,

The team at We Love Dogs
