Beecroft Cherrybrook Rugby Tour 2015

For more than 30 years, the Pakuranga United Rugby Club (PURC) and the Beecroft Cherrybrook Junior Rugby Union (based in Sydney) have been nurturing junior rugby by providing an opportunity to play against each other in the Under 10 and Under 11 grades.

This tour is known as the Beecroft Cherrybrook Tour. Every two years, PURC holds trials to form two representative sides for the Australian tour. Each squad has 20 players, one representing the Under 10 Grade, and the other the Under 11 Grade. Every other year the Australian club travels to New Zealand.

The tour offers players the opportunity to experience life skills and education as well as broadening their playing skills. These players provide the future for PURC and this tour is the entry level of representative rugby. Fundraising the $100,000 required for the 2-year commitment (~$2500 per child) is already underway and we appreciate the support from the club and the community.
