Consider donating to support rainbow and Takatāpui youth in the top of the South Island.

Annesbrook, Nelson

Q-Youth receives most of our funding from philanthropic grants. However, direct donations are an important piece of our sustainable funding model that allows us to continue to provide safe spaces, support, community, advocacy, and education for our rainbow youth and young people in Te Tau Ihu. We kindly ask that if you support our mission that you consider making a donation, every dollar helps us to ensure we are able to continue in our mission.

About us

We are a for youth by youth organisation that provides safe spaces, support, advocacy, and education for gender and sexuality diverse youth, their friends, their families, and our community.

Use of funds

Funds donated will be used alongside our other funding to support Q-Youth. Our main priorities are our drop-in centre and the staff wages that keep that running. Secondarily funds will go towards activities and events for our community and staff training.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
