Queenstown Trading

Queenstown Trading is the virtual heart of the Queenstown community. As the go-to platform in the area for anything and everything we might need, Queenstown Trading is simply indispensable.

Aren't we all on the look out for Oady the dog? Did we not all sell our kids’ outgrown ski gear? Where else would we find affordable goods and local tips? Where else would we share last night’s sunset? How many people do we know who have used the group to find their snowboard, their car, or even a place to call home?

A machine as crucial as Queenstown Trading cannot be run by itself, and the man we have to thank for this wonderful resource is David Pearse. David spends countless hours of his free time maintaining the page and ensuring that it remains a safe space for our community to trade goods and share ideas.

David not only manages Queenstown Trading, but he also devotes his time to the youth snowboard community in Queenstown. He has coached much of Queenstown’s snow talent, from the learner slopes’ to Nationals. David visits schools to provide information about snowboarding, and he creates opportunities for those who cannot afford to try out the sport, just as he creates opportunities for all of us every day with Queenstown Trading. He is an exceptional, selfless person who is wholeheartedly dedicated to the Queenstown community.Unfortunately, David is recovering from a knee operation and will not get the chance to practice his passion this season.

With all that David has given us, we think it’s time to give back. As a thank you, we would love to compensate David for all of his hard work because without him, Queenstown Trading would not be possible. As a thank you for selling your bike, finding your cat, catching a lift to Christchurch, laughing at some banter, or simply sharing your Queenstown pride.
