Help support Rachel and her recovery from surgery after having a 1.8kg tumor removed from her abdomen, And another from behind her rib cage.

Every one has had a hard 2020 but for some people the pain continues, Rachel is everyone's favorite redhead at the New World supermarket in Dannevirke, but is noticeably absent due to having a 1.8kg tumor removed from her abdomen. Once she has recovered from the surgery will need to have another one about the size of a large orange removed from behind her rib cage, this is very major surgery and will take a long time to recover from.

Use of funds

Rachel is currently on sick leave but it is going to quickly run out, funds will be used to help pay for the basics like food, power and the mortgage, if there is any left over it will be used to go on a well needed holiday.

Rachel and I would like to say a huge thank you to each and everyone of you that has supported us, We are incredibly lucky to live in such a caring and giving community.

Update: we have just been to Wellington hospital for more tests and a consultation regarding the large tumor behind the rib cage in Rachel, the news was not good, if the tumor is not removed she is only likely to live 5 more years, so that's not really an option at the moment the best treatment is likely to be chemo therapy to try and reduce the size and then surgery to remove the remaining tissue.
