As a family we would like to pass on our gratitude for all of the generous donations, kind words and support. It has been exactly 10 weeks since Rylee received her diagnosis of Osteosarcoma and 6 weeks since she had her surgery to remove her tumour. Rylee's surgery resulted in a right arm and shoulder amputation due to aggressive nature of her tumour in her right humerus.

Rylee has continued to be positive and resilient through out. She has not let her amputation dampen her spirit for life and is already planning to have her first swim in the new year. She has embraced her new disability and is proud of who she is and how she looks and hopes she can inspire others in their amputation journey to find the positives in their outcomes.

The funds are going to help Rylee access PINC and STEEL cancer rehabilitation and specific physio to strengthen her core and back to help with her balance as the surgery had taken all her shoulder muscles. This will all help her get back in the pool and start competitively swimming and running again.

    He waka eke noa.

      Hi Amanda, Rylee and Family,

Super proud of this beautiful girl and we know that she will be amazing at whatever she sets her mind to. I'm sure once she's back in the pool she will rapidly become a star again.

If there is ever anything I can do to support, especially if you are down in Welly at any stage, please do not hesitate.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and please say hi to Susan as well.
