We are very happy to update that all 3 Defib units are now in place and ready for the community to access if and when the need arises - at Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club (Domain Road), Te Akau Ki Papamoa Primary (29 Doncaster Drive) and Papamoa College (151 Doncaster Drive).

These are being registered with St Johns and their locations will also be added to https://aedlocations.co.nz/

This would not have been possible without your amazing support. Thanks to everyone who contributed to our effort to give something back to the Papamoa community, and to do something positive in Marks memory.

    We are forever grateful. xx

    Hi All

We have now had 3 Defib units and Cabinets delivered to us.

Last week the boys and I handed over the unit to the Surf Life Saving club (see photo) - they are hoping to have it in place this week - and I will share photos of it in situ once I have them.

We are working with both Te Akau Ki Primary and Papamoa College on getting their units to them and in place...watch this space for an update.

It's so good to have these units here and in service before the summer holidays. Once again a huge thank you to everyone for your support. x

  • Update on Defibs

      30 October 2022

    Hi All

I wanted to give you all an update on the defib machines you all so kindly donated towards.

3 units have been ordered and a deposit paid. We were hoping for delivery into NZ at the end of October, but the latest update is it could be another 4 weeks (they are currently on the water between the US and Australia). We hope to have these installed before summer but are at the mercy of shipping now unfortunately.

We are looking forward to having the units in place very soon and ready to save lives if needed.

I will keep you all updated as I hear more. Thanks once again for being so generous. x

  • We've met our fundraising target, end date extended to Monday 26th September

      24 September 2022

    Hi family & friends

Thanks to all of your generosity and a big fundraising drive from Papamoa College we have now exceeded our fundraising target. We are so grateful for the support you have all shown - thanks x

Mid last week we needed to extend the end date until Monday 26th September to allow extra time if needed for some of the last donations to be made.

If you know anyone intending to but not yet donated, please let them know there is still time.

Any excess $ we have after buying the initial 3 Defib units will go to the Papamoa College, Te Akau Ki Primary school and Papamoa Surf Club for replacement pads and batteries for when they are needed.

Huge thanks once again for all of your support x

  • Fundraising end date extended

      2 September 2022

    Hi All

Thanks so much for your donations to get External Defibs into the Papamoa Community. We have raised nearly $8k, enough for 2 Defibs and are on our way to raising the $ for a 3rd.

You might notice we have extended the end date a week. This is so Papamoa College have time to run a mufti day on Friday 16th and donate the proceeds to this page.

If you can think of anyone or a business that might want to donate, please send the link for this page on to them - it would be great to be able to fully fund all 3 Defib units if we can.

Thanks again for your support x
