Raising funds for Ben Pakau

  • Update from Ben's family - Jan 2021

      19 January 2021

    From Ben's family:

We are so grateful for all your help. Ben is in the spinal unit now still no movement at all from waist down and may need surgery on his hands, as nerves not working now, but he is not giving up. He has got a wheel chair that he can move himself, he is going to the gym every day and they are doing awesome work with him. Ben is also starting to eat food and is happy he can do so. Ben has days where he is down but with our support he is bouncing back. We would like to thank the Cambridge community for all their support, we couldn't be there for Ben with out your help, so thank you to everyone.

  • Update from Ben's family and a huge thank you to you!

      23 December 2020

I wanted to let you know that through Cambridge Community House Trust we have been able to release funds early to the family from our funds (this page won't pay out until the 25th January). The family are humbled by the generosity of our community and asked me to pass on their thanks. They will be able to visit Ben daily and stay up there for Christmas Day to try and have a Christmas for their family at this very difficult time. Ben is stable but still unable to move from the waist down, rehab is going to take a long time and we will continue to support Ben's family through this. Thank you for all your support, please have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, we will provide another update mid-January
