Help Julie get thymoma surgery

If the surgery does show it is cancer (I hope not), will Julie's ongoing treatment be government funded?

It seems so unfair for the family to be in this situation and I guess that no one suggested they take out health insurance because they wouldn't be covered for this sort of thing.
