It is a fat disorder where a different type of fat develops, usually on the legs or arms but, can also extend to other areas. This fat is different because is is not broken down or metabolise in the same way as regular fat, and therefore

WHY DO I NEED THIS SURGERY?

progression of Lipedema. Luckily I have learned about my this conditon in the earlier stages, but it is already effecting my every day life as my legs get very heavy and very painful, and the pressure of the fat is effecting the function of my blood and lymphatic vessels. I would really appreciate your help and support to not only to raise money for my surgery, but to spread awareness of this condition because it is very common, but it is just not recognised and is very often mistaken for being overweight or being a certain body type. Use of funds

The funds will go directly towards paying for surgery my surgery in Germany. If I have a surplus of funds then I would like to put a little towards creating resources to spread awareness of this condition and also give back to others who need support.
