Right now, our good mate Ricky is facing one of the toughest challenges of his life. Ongoing medical treatment has forced him to step away from work, leaving him unable to earn while still needing to support himself, his farm, and his animals.

Ricky has always been the one who shows up. As a highly respected farrier, he has played a huge part in so many of our lives through his exceptional work on our horses. For the past few years, he has been the regular senior member of the northern farrier team at race days — a role that speaks volumes about his skill, leadership, and dedication.

But beyond the job, it’s the man we value most. Ricky has always made time to help others in his own way — travelling the extra mile, offering advice, lending a hand, and lifting spirits with his cheeky smile and sharp sense of humour.

Now it’s our turn.

Let’s unite and stand up for a true friend and brother. Any support will help ease the financial pressure while Ricky focuses on healing. We can’t wait to see him back around Pukekohe, boots dusty, tools in hand, and making us laugh again.
