Rallying together to support Sally with care, kindness, and help during treatment

Auckland

This page has been set up to support Sally McEldowney who was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma cancer on the 5th of December 2025.

They found a 16cm tumour on her liver and two enlarged lymph nodes in her upper abdomen.

Sally is now undergoing five months of chemotherapy which works better alongside Immunotherapy.

Unfortunately this treatment isn’t fully funded here in New Zealand and costs around $100,000.

Funds raised will go towards medical costs and treatment-related expenses allowing Sally to focus on her health and getting better.

Any donation is greatly appreciated and we thank you for your kindness and support x

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
