Te Kauri Park Rat or Tui? programme

$280 donated
Given by 5 generous donors in around 10 months

Joining our Rat or Tui? programme by sponsoring a bait station for $25, will help rid Te Kauri Park of predators.Predators at Te Kauri Park

Nationwide

We have cut 20km of lines and laid out 404 bait stations. These stations need to be refilled regularly.

In 2006 trend monitoring estimated possum levels at 46%. This equated to a massive 2000-3000 possums alone. Rat levels were even higher at 88%.

Our target is to reduce the pest population to 5%.

About us

Carrying out pest baiting for possums and rats and monitoring the effects of reducing pest numbers, on the birds and trees of the Te Kauri Park.
