Donations to re-stock the Unmentionables dignity store for refugees, so they can continue to 'buy' essential items for their family.
Canterbury
As part of my Medical Elective I have been volunteering with The Unmentionables, an NGO with a resource centre in Greece that aims to provide health information to Refugees in Athens.
Many of these refugees are able to learn about reproductive physiology, sexual health, contraception and other health conditions for the first time, and by attending classes they are able to build up 'points' to be used in the Unmentionables Dignity Shop. Here they can use the points they have earned to buy underwear, menstrual pads and cups, soap and shampoo and other basic essentials for their family that they might otherwise struggle to afford.
Part of our job involves facilitating the refugees 'shopping' after these classes and workshops, and currently the shop is running low on a few essential items including shampoo, razors and a range of bra sizes. One of the toughest things is having to tell these people who have so little, that we no longer have some of the essential items they need to provide for their family, so before leaving Greece I am keen to help re-stock the store. Personally I can donate a small amount, but I thought if there was anyone else who was keen to contribute we would be able to make a much larger impact. Even a few dollars will provide a family with soap and shampoo for a few weeks so every little bit counts.

I am volunteering in Greece with the Unmentionables at the moment, and want to raise funds to help re-stock their dignity shop.
The money will be spent on razors, shampoo and anything else the shop is running low on and needs replacing.
