There is not really much to say on the progress of the house as it is gone, there is nothing left but a "huge deck". I spent the weekend helping them clear some of the rubble. Where my old room was they fully uncovered what's left of the floor boards and put the picnic table on it. Pete put some huge pots around it and shoved some branches in them so they looked like plants. When he ran out of branches he got what's left of his computer chair and made a nice little sculpture. It was very nice considering we were all standing on what used to be my bedroom and now is just a big deck.

I spent the last two days with mum, every now and then she will say something like "Oh, that was in the house". She thinks her and Pete will be doing that for a long time. It is hard to know the full extent of what has been lost, every day a new list of things will come to mind. It is really hard to start from the start again, mum said to me yesterday how it just isn't right, starting again. It is quite a hard time for them at the moment, they aren't used to being the ones that need help.

Again thank you so much to every one who has donated, if you have any questions feel free to ask! if you would like to contact me personally my email is alexandrabiddle123@gmail.com

Thanks again to every one who has donated so far.

Yesterday (27th of August) I went out to see Mum and Pete and what is left of the house, there was not a lot to see. Mum spent a lot of the time making sure every one else was okay, Pete was working on clearing some of the mess. I sifted through the rubble to see if I could find anything else worth saving.

They had some photo's drying out that had been saved, by some miracle most of them were pretty much unharmed. Mum said she found my little glass angel that my grandma had given me, its a little charred but pretty much perfect. Underneath the angel were the photo albums as well as a rather charred baby blanket. They are staying strong and remain positive, they are really humbled and so overwhelmed by the support. Thanks a bunch to every one who has already donated, no words can explain how much it means to them and us.
