Two AUT University students; Rebecca Pratt and Sasha McEwen, are fundraising for their final documentary film project.
Auckland
For our final film project at AUT University, we (Rebecca Pratt - Director, and Sasha McEwen - Producer) are creating a documentary that follows the Project Reef Life team, as they educate their South Taranaki community about an un-mapped rocky reef, 11km offshore, 23m deep.
This will be New Zealand's first ever documentary of a sub-tidal reef depicting life 11km offshore of our coastline. A local story with global impact, this documentary sheds light on the power of curiosity, discovery, and our younger generation learning about what lies within our ocean, so they have the knowledge to protect it in the future.
However, we can't do this without your help! Your donations will be extremely impactful in bringing this story to screen. Funds raised will go towards costs of flying the crew to and from South Taranaki, petrol, catering, post-production, film festival submissions, and more.
Any donation, big or small, will help us out so much! If you can't donate, we'd really appreciate your support on our Instagram and Facebook, and sharing this page to your wider network.
The film will be released for everyone to view at the end of October, 2019.
Thanks!
