Ali's page closes in 4 days, so I thought it would be good to do a final update, and thank you all once again for your generous contributions to the framing of his beautiful paintings. Ali's exhibition, The Reed Pen's Tale Continues: To be One in Heart, opens at Depot Artspace on Thursday 27th August, with an Opening event on Saturday 29th August, 2 - 3.30pm. Love to see you there.
Well, it's been an extraordinary time since I last wrote an update, and I hope you are all well and re-emerging into our 'new normal' world.
I just wanted to let you know that Depot Artspace Gallery has now announced new dates for Ali's exhibition: 27th August - 16th September, with an opening event on Saturday 28th August, 2 - 3.30pm, to which you are all invited. I know Ali would love to meet you and thank you for your kind contributions to his exhibition expenses.
The fundraising page is remaining open until June, and although the cost of framing Ali's paintings has been covered, any extra donations will go towards helping him cover other exhibition expenses, so if you know anyone who might like to help with that, please share the page with them.

Hi Everyone. After Ali's fundraising page closed yesterday I received a message from someone who knew several people wanting to donate to Ali's framing. So I contacted the lovely people at Givealittle, and they kindly agreed to extend the page until July. The new image is called 'The Caravan of Life'.
I just wanted to let everyone know that although the Depot Artspace Gallery is now closed due to the COVID-19 lockdown, and Ali's exhibition, which we should have been installing today, has therefore been postponed, the gallery has assured us that To Be One in Heart will be rescheduled when life returns to normal (whenever that might be!). The paintings have been framed and look just fantastic! And that is thanks to all of you. We just can't thank you enough for your kindness and generosity.
With everything else that's going on at the moment I almost forgot to remind people that today (26th March) is the last day for donations for Ali's framing. So if you happen to know of anyone who might like to chip in a few dollars towards the goal, please send them a link to this page. We've almost reached the $1300 we were hoping for, and Ali will receive all the money that has been donated.
