3 lives shattered by fire in Queenstown - your support will help them rebuild from scratch.
Queenstown, Otago
In Queenstown on November 7th, 2023, a devastating fire left a profound impact, especially for three young individuals who tragically lost everything in the flames due to a freak accident, not by any fault of their own. Stripped of their belongings, they were left with only the clothes on their backs. Unfortunately they didnt have any insurance - so starting from scratch. The fire, originating in the attached shed, spared their lives, but robbed them of their security and possessions, plunging them into uncertainty.
Your support, regardless of size, is invaluable in this trying time. Maia and Carlos work in hospitality, while Sandy contributes to transportation - essential roles upholding Queenstown's community and tourism. Despite their essential roles, they aren't high earners, making any contribution, however small, vital to rebuilding after the fire.
Fortunately, the landlords are providing shelter, offering a safe place to stay. Your generosity will be their beacon of hope, aiding them in rebuilding their lives from scratch, finding stability and hope once more. Thank you for your kindness and consideration in supporting these individuals who faced such a devastating loss.

Many thanks 30 November 2023
Many thanks to everyone who has generously donated to assist Maia, Carlos and Sandy to get back on their feet. They are doing okay and through the assistance of the community and their landlord, they have somewhere safe to stay and they have been able to get most of what they need to get by. They are currently in the process of organising flights to Wellington in order to get their ID documents sorted. They wanted me to extend a sincere thanks from them to you - to say, that they are incredibly humbled by the generosity that has been extended to them and they will forever be grateful
Thanks for your incredibly kind and generous donation Susan. Carlos, Maia and Sandy are doing fine, but looking to get their documents sorted as need to fly to Wellington. They have somewhere safe and free to live at present, so they are very thankful for the generosity of strangers. Thanks again
