Remembering our Pretty Powerful Bronwyn Black
International
We are very sad to share with you the passing of Bronwyn Black, Bobbi Brown Studio Manager in Christchurch, New Zealand, after an eight-month long battle with cancer. She was 45 years old.
You may remember that late last year we shared Bronwyn’s story with all of you and started a fundraising effort to support Bronwyn and her family during this very difficult time. So many of you gave so generously and it meant so much to Bronwyn and made an enormous difference to Bronwyn and her children.
Bronwyn approached her terminal diagnosis with incredible bravery and with her inimitable good humor. Between her diagnosis and late April, she went through a fairly aggressive schedule of chemotherapy, in her words, ‘to pop a bit more in’.
Bronwyn worked with us for 13 years and was an incredibly popular member of staff. Bronwyn will be remembered for her endearing personality and humour, her mothering nature to all around her and her generosity. She was well-known for helping anyone in need and her extraordinary kindness to others. Back in 2011, when a devastating earthquake hit Christchurch, it was Bronwyn who took three of our head office team members under her wing and into her home despite having gone through the trauma of the earthquake herself. She was one of Bobbi Brown’s super stars in New Zealand.
