Renovation nightmares

    Last week we had some very kind, caring and generous top blokes come and insulate the wall that has been mums bedroom wall the past year. It is nice and warm for the winter. Rueben and his guys from lakehouse construction Rotorua even put in a proper door and a window to let in some natural light. They’ve also had Matt put a huge tarp over the front and secured it which will make it watertight until the front can get finished. So very appreciative for their time and generosity. Still a lot to do but this has given some positive after all the negatives there’s been. Again thank everyone for the support 🫶🏼

  • Winter has arrived

    It’s now officially winter and we haven’t had any exterior done to stop the leaking yet. Hopefully we can sort a plan out this week with all the offers of help we’ve had to get the front of the house closed off. Appreciate everyone who has helped weather it be with koha or a share of the page 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

    Kia Ora whanau

    Papa has been working 7 days a week for months to try and get money to finish the whare. He made enough money to be able to get the kitchen appliances installed which has given them hope. It looks absolutely beautiful. Although the house still needs building done to complete so it doesn’t leak this is a step in the right direction. Thank you all sooo much for your tautoko, awhi and kind words 🫶🏼

    Just coming on to say our page is now moderated. Had to do a few changing of words for that to be done. Thank you to every single person who has shared and donated. Your generosity is not unnoticed and we truely appreciate it 🫶🏼 we have a lot to do to get to where we want to be in regards to figuring this whole thing out and we definitely were not expecting to have to do this but with the determination of trying to help our parents be able to finish their forever home and the support of everyone so far we will do our best to help as much as we can 🫶🏼
