Daymon's car was ruined when he went to help others and we want to get him the money to replace it.
Nelson / Tasman
When a teacher left his classroom as he found out his property was flooding, Daymon and his friend realised their was a problem and drove to Monaco to help.
While in Monaco, Daymon and his friend, waded and kayaked around the affected homes, giving support, turning off power and gas and eventually using our boat to rescue those who needed it.
While driving there, Daymon's car, he had just got, was flooded by the bow wave from a car leaving and is now hydro-locked. He only had third party insurance so he can't claim. He has sold if for scrap for $200. I would like to raise the extra $1800 so he isn't out of pocket for his selflessness.
To add insult to injury, he also got a mouthful of water and was sick for the next day.
I am a teacher at Nayland College and live in Monaco. Daymon's selfless desire to help in the storm surge left him without a car which i would like to help replace. His presence and efforts, with his friend, made a real difference to the security of the people being inundated with rising seawater in the Thurday 1 february Storm Surge from ex tropical cyclone Feti in Monaco, Nelson.
To ensure Daymon is not out of pocket and can replace his car with an equivalent
