We're fundraising so that Jessie Roughan's home movie collection can be converted to digital for her daughter to watch as she gets older.
Wellington
Hi, my names is Jess and I am lucky enough to have been good friends with Jessie Roughan.
Shortly before she passed away last year Jessie entrusted me with one of her most prized possessions - her collection of home videos. Before we all had phones with cameras on them Jessie was often rocking around with her video camera and as a result she had a box full of 25 tapes that hadn't seen the light of day for over 20 years in some cases.
It was Jessie's wish that these tapes would be taken care of and that her daughter could see some of them someday. I have sent these tapes to Dunedin to be converted to a USB and when they are sent back to me I will edit them into videos for Jessie's family to share with SJ as she gets older.
Any financial contribution towards this process would be greatly appreciated because as although obviously this is a huge honour for me to be given this task and I take the responsibility of it very seriously, its quite a lot of money for me to come up with in one go.
I don't yet know if there will be much useable footage or the quality of it but please rest assured that no embarrassing or incriminating footage of anyone will be put online.
Thanks so much for your time and for helping with this project,
xx Jess
