  • Thank you, you've helped SO much.

With wide and generous support form the community to support Mr Reid's expert evidence in the matter of an application to build a retirement village at Ngataringa Bay; at the close of this appeal we were just over two thousand dollars short of achieving our goal. That represents a substantial show of support from concerned members of the community.

Funds raised include this Givealittle page, donations made directly to Ngataringa Bay Action Group's account at BNZ, Devonport Branch (see https://facebook.com/groups/NgataringaBay/ for more details), and proceeds from the sale of t-shirts and badges at Red Queen, 2 Marine Square, Devonport Wharf.

Thank you to all those who have supported this cause. You are enabling the community to put forward the best possible representation of its concerns in this matter.

  • The council's Hearing was expected to adjourn, Friday 9 December; fundraising deadline extended

      6 December 2016

Thanks to the more than 70 generous donors who have supported the community presentation to Auckland Council's Hearing Panel in the matter of Ryman Healthcare's application to build and run a retirement village at Ngataringa Bay, Devonport. The hearing was being held until expected adjournment on Friday the 9th of December at Takapuna Council Chamber, level 3, 1 The Strand, Takapuna.

To commission and present an Urban Design report on behalf of the community by respected Architect and Landscape Architect Richard Reid, donors have pledged more than seven thousand dollars through the Givealittle page, direct bank deposits, t-shirt, badge, and other campaign initiatives (details below). We're on the home stretch to reach the target.

As of Saturday the 10th we have just six days to reach the final extended deadline of this appeal.

As well as the Givealittle Page, donations are accepted over the counter at any Bank of New Zealand to the "Ngataringa Bay Action Group" account held at BNZ, Devonport Branch, details at https://facebook.com/groups/NgataringaBay/

Badges and campaign t-shirts in red and white can be purchased at Red Queen, 1 Marine Square, Devonport Wharf. Of course, Santa would love one!
