We're fundraising to support Reuben represent New Zealand at the Indoor Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka in September 2025
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
My name is Reuben, I am 17 years old and a Year 13 student at Tauranga Boys College. My passion in life is playing cricket - both outdoor cricket in summer and indoor cricket in winter.
I am grateful to have been selected to represent New Zealand in the Under 22 Boys Indoor Cricket team, competing at the 2025 World Indoor Cricket Federation World Cup in Columbo, Sri Lanka from September 27th to October 4th.
This trip is going to cost me and my family around $8000 as Indoor Cricket is a fully self-funded sport, so any financial assistance you can provide is really appreciated by me and my parents, who go above and beyond to help me and my brothers with our sporting goals.
At the recent national men's club tournament in Auckland, involving 6 teams, I played in the Hamilton Premier team, winning Most Valuable Player for my team and the overall Most Valuable Player for the tournament. Following that I represented Northern Districts' Under 22 team at the recent senior national provincial tournament in Lower Hutt and was awarded MVP for this team as well as MVP for the whole Under 22 division.
I have aspirations to be the best I can be at this sport, and going to the World Cup will be an amazing stepping stone in my journey.
I am Reuben's Mum
