Waikato
Louise is unable to live full time with her sons in Australia, due to being very unwell & on a supported living (previously invalids) benefit.
She has several diagnosis's & struggles daily with acute debilitating depression on top of many complications .
However ! Love for her sons pushes her forward to ask for your help, to enable her to spend some much needed precious time with Ben & Jamie whom need to see their mother as much as she needs to see them.
MESSAGE FROM LOUISE
Being separated from my Sons is a heart breaking nightmare of a situation, cruel & confusing for my non-verbal, severely autistic sons, Ben & Jamie.
Body language is a huge part of communication for them & being physically present is of the utmost importance for our mother-son relationship connection.
I'm terrified Ben is going to forget who I am, as he has seizures that affect his brain function, it's been approximately 16 long months since I have seen them, other than Skype calls.
They are both on the high end of the spectrum needing 24/7 care which I am able to handle with the support of their special needs carer present, which they now have, since I'm not there.
WINZ allows people on the Invalids/supported living benefits a maximum of 28 days out of NZ per year.
Ben & Jamie are my only children, my beloved flesh & blood, I grieve everyday I'm separated from them & long to see their faces / body language & see they're alright.
I need to spend time with my boys & they too need time with their Mum. I need to hold them, as much as their Autism will allow.
I need to make them healthy Mummy meals, breakfast, lunch & tea, make sure their brushing their teeth ok & tuck them into bed xx. All those normal things most parents get to do, mean so much more to me.
Weekly ends don't meet, so I really need your help to achieve this.
I have put this off for too long & after seeing young ladies getting help to buy wedding dresses & parties, I thought I best step up & ask on behalf of Ben & Jamie to see their Mum.
They certainly deserve special Mummy time. Ben & Jamie are going on 16 & 17, however only have the mentality of toddlers. Ben is happiest with his blankie or piece of string & James loves a ball on the end of a rope, mostly he LOVES food time!
Any amount would be so gratefully appreciated from those whom are able to give.
My friend Louise doesn't light up the way she does about her boys for anything else. It breaks my heart her circumstances don't allow for her to be able to visit them with ease and I am supporting her to reach out and get help to visit them next year.
All money raised will be used to fund flights, connecting travel, required accomodation & expenses related to Louise visiting & spending time her sons in Australia.
