Support Rhys, show him that he is not alone in this fight. Your generosity can make a difference in his life and help him overcome Cancer!
Auckland
Rhys received the heartbreaking news in January that he has been diagnosed with cancer, a devastating blow that has left him reeling. But his struggles didn't end there, as he also discovered that the life-saving treatment (Vemurafenib & Cobimetinib) he desperately needs is not covered by funding for the next two years.
Since then, Rhys has been fighting an uphill battle, facing countless complications and enduring several close calls. Despite the physical and emotional toll this has taken on him, Rhys remains the embodiment of positivity and resilience, bravely confronting each obstacle with a smile on his face.
As Rhys continues to fight for his life, it's essential that we rally around him with not only emotional support but also financial assistance. By helping to fund the medication he needs, we can alleviate some of the financial burden and enable him to focus on his recovery fully.
Let's come together to support Rhys, showing him that he is not alone in this fight. Your generosity can make a difference in his life and help him to overcome this daunting challenge with renewed strength and hope
Rhys is my Friend and work colleague.
The money raised will be used to help fund Rhys's Cancer treatment
Scan 2 update 16 August 2023
Well the results are in and its another win for the good guys.
The main tumour has shrunk 25% to 8cm x 6cm.
While it is still a decent hunk of crap that has taken up home in my body its a lot smaller than the 20cm x 20cm mass when we started this journey.
The plan at this stage is to just keep smashing the tumours with the cocktail of medication until they are just small abnormalities on the CT Scan.
Fingers crossed we can achieve this.
There are some exciting times ahead and a planned trip for work across the pond is a highlight in the near future I'm really looking forward to.
Once again I cant thank everyone for the help and support on this journey.
Don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy life.
So very generous of you thank you very much
