NZ Boxing Champion striving for Commonwealth Games Gold.

Otago

Hi my name is Richie. Thank you for visiting my page. I'm a passionate person and have committed the past 5 years of my life to the sport of boxing.

I have earned four consecutive national titles, attended world Olympic qualifiers, international training camps and in 2017 I won the Oceania Continental Title in the Gold Coast, Australia (see update page for fight footage). I have now been confirmed to represent New Zealand at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast in April.

I gained valuable experience earlier this year attending a two week training camp at the USA Olympic Training Center. The NZ Boxing Squad has one last push planned in attending the multi nation training camp at the A.I.S. in Canberra on March 15th.

This Camp is vital and will be the final touches in my preparation to be able to get on the podium to receive the GOLD.

Even though I have been selected for New Zealand representation at the C.W.G. all preparation costs must be met by the athletes. This has put a great deal of pressure on me with maintaining a living and correctly preparing as well as paying for National Squad preparation costs.

I have a very supportive group of friends, family, co-workers and gym mates who support me with the goals I have set to achieve but the financial strain is always present.

I am extremely appreciative for any help with financial support that will help me with the following:

*Flights to international training camps

*Cost of living/training while away

*Specialist equipment and services

*Accommodation & travel to national training camps

I'm an aggressive front foot fighter with KO power in both hands that likes to entertain. One thing I can promise anyone who makes a donation toward my goal is that I will fight every minute of every round and give everything to deliver on my dream.

Thank you for taking the time to view my page, please share with your family and friends. I hope your able to watch me represent New Zealand and GO FOR GOLD at the C.W.G. 2018

Commonwealth Games - April 2018  23 February 2018

After a grueling, long qualification process I have been selected to represent New Zealand over at C.W.G. in the Gold Coast.

The NZ Boxing squad requires the athlete to 100% fund a multi nation training camp from March 15th-26th in Canberra, Australia.

This camp will offer great opportunity and be the perfect final touch to our preparation.

I am very grateful for any funds donated to help me on my mission.

Please watch and enjoy my final qualification test match.

Yours faithfully,

Richie 'The Hatchet' Hadlow
