Through our mission to the finish line traversing across India, we hope to raise money and awareness for Cool Earth and cancer charities.

Three adventurers from Australia and New Zealand travelling through India during April 2016. We are participating in a charity event known as the ‘Rickshaw Run’, which involves traversing the entirety of India from west to east in an auto-rickshaw (essentially a lawnmower engine held together with a very small metal frame) over 3 weeks. The distance we travel is enormous, equalling approximately 3000 km provided we don’t go too far off course! Please check out the website link for a taste of the adventure that awaits. There is no set route or support team, and the journey will take us to the rural depths of India untouched by your typical visitor to this incredible country. It will be hard, dirty, uncomfortable and no doubt scary; which is half the appeal! We will be documenting the entire trip to keep those at home connected and aid our fundraising efforts.
The aim of the event is to raise funds for charity.
Our chosen charities include the reputable and accountable international provider 'Cool Earth'https://www.coolearth.org). Cool Earth is the associated charity of the ‘Rickshaw Run', and actively limits deforestation alongside indigenous populations around the world. In addition, we have chosen to lend support to Rare Cancers Australia and the Cancer Society of New Zealand. Two wonderful organisation tirelessly working to assist those affected by cancer and supporting their families through these difficult period times Both are accountable and transparent charitable providers, and worthy of our utmost support.
We are therefore asking for interested sponsors to assist in making this difficult adventure on a vehicle not ever designed to leave the city environment, even more worthwhile.
Two doctors and a project manager trying to make a little difference on a crazy adventure!
