We're cycling from Christchurch to Akaroa to raise 365 Safe Nights for women and children escaping domestic violence.

This winter, our team is cycling from Christchurch to Akaroa to raise funds for a cause that’s close to our hearts: Safe Nights for women and children in crisis. Every $20 raised provides one Safe Night, offering secure accommodation, food, and support to someone escaping domestic violence. Our goal? 365 Safe Nights - one for every day of the year!
To make it fun and challenging, we are doing it on 1970s and 1980s road bikes and in attire from those decades!

We did it! 30 July 2025
On Friday, a group of absolute legends rode 86km from Christchurch to Akaroa to raise funds for Women’s Refuge and the Safe Nights programme.
Together, we’ve raised over $27,000, funding more than 1,300 Safe Nights for women and children in need.
