R.I.P James

I met James 18 months ago. He had lost his soulmate 8 years earlier to HIV related complications and was battling depression and trying to cope with the rapid changes that were occurring with his health due to his own HIV infection. James was new in town and he knew no-one so we struck up a friendship. Over the 18 months that I knew him I watched in disbelief at how rapidly this vibrant, active man became frail, sickly and immobile. James died in July this year. His parents have refused to pay for the cost of his passing and as I organised his funeral, it appears that I, not his parents am responsible for this debt. James's biggest fear before he died was that I, a disabled woman on a small income would have to pay. I am unsure how I will meet this cost, I need some help to put my friend truly to rest.
