Building level two of the Church building in Medellin, Colombia

Over the last 10 years my wife and I have watched and supported our Pastor friend (Eder Payares) in Medellin, Colombia build up an awesome Church from scratch through Faith. But now they need help to build a second floor on the church building to give room to help teach and equip the young people that are attending.

The church "River of Living Waters" is located in a struggling area in Medellin. There are many unemployed, poor, and struggling people that suffer the problems that come with this kind of area... drug abuse, family violence, alcoholism, gang problems, and so on. This Church is right in the centre and is growing weekly. They managed to buy a plot of land and built a single level building for there worship, fellowship and works.Now due to their growing numbers they will need to start having two services on a Sunday, but need more room to teach the children and youth. Hence a second floor is the best option.

The second floor will have rooms to teach and run courses, an office for administration and a kitchen. The congregation has given over the last twelve months toward this but are in need of $15000 NZ dollars to complete it properly. The second story walls have just been build and now money is needed for the concrete roof, interior walls, paint and plastering, plumbing and electrical work etc. A project manager is the only person being paid a wage and the occasional contractor but most of the hard work will be done by the church members as they did two years ago on the ground floor.

Pastor Eder and his wife are young and energetic Christians that are totally committed to the equipping of the people and to extend the Kingdom of God.
