I am humbled and excited to have been accepted into the relativity school in Los Angeles to study a BFA in musical theatre and film.
Canterbury
I was always told that I could hold a tune and I never really understood what that was. The love of song and music was always with me when I was small . I did ballet and drama in Christchurch New Zealand a city on the east coast of the country. I was a hockey player and surf life saver. My father loved to surf always said that it was like a dance. So it was always inspirational to me to think of being on water that way.
I was in a wonderful drama group called “Original Scripts” theatre school and couldn’t wait to get there after school. We did musicals and drama and as i loved to sing, it took me to lean more towards musical theatre as it had all the components i loved.
I am a very motivated person and put my heart and soul in to everything I do .From cooking a meal for family to protesting to keep our oceans and beaches clean.I am very dependable, positive and passionate about performing.
I would also consider my self very resilient ,I have been in a earthquake that devastated the area that i lived and have lost my father .
On going to Australia I was accepted into the prestigious McDonald college of performing arts in Sydney at sixteen, it only consolidated my love for performing arts, especially musical theatre .It wasn’t just a school it was my my family. We all worked to gather as one ,if any one was struggling we would help each other to bring out their best performance .
we learned to work as a team and make the shows the best they could be .
I want to be the sort of performer that can inspire others like i was inspired by those performers such as
Kelli O’Hara, Sutton Foster and Kristin Chenoweth.
I hope through your generous donations I will be able to attend the relativity school and continue to grow as a performer .To tell the stories through music song dance and drama.
I am so excited to have been accepted into the BFA musical theatre and film program at the relativity media school in Los Angeles starting in the Fall(late August). This is such an amazing opportunity although it is very expensive. Attending any college is expensive and unfortunately schools in the USA do not offer student loans so all fees must be paid in full. This is very costly and unfortunately I run the risk of being unable to attend. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and with your help I hope to be able to attend.
