Niue boxer going to the World Friendship Games & Yerevan , Armenia
Ponsonby, Auckland
As Duken sets sail for his final amateur boxing chapter, Duken finds himself facing a pivotal moment. Despite Niue’s absence from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this year, Duken remains resolute in his commitment to represent his homeland proudly. With the Yerevan Cup Tournament held in Yerevan, Armenia, in June followed by the World Friendship Games beckoning in Moscow, Russia, this September, Duken aims to hoist the Niue flag high on European soil for the very first time for a Niuean amateur boxer.
However, like many amateur boxers, Duken relies on fundraising, donations, and sponsorships to support the strict demands of training camps and tournaments. Currently devoid of such support, Duken finds himself solely reliant on his PT sessions and part time work at the gym. For those who stand behind Duken and wish to contribute to his journey, we invite you to support the champ as he prepares to conclude his amateur boxing career and grace Moscow, Russia, with the flag of Niue for the first time ever and his last time as an amateur boxer.
