The Road to 50k for Mark the Mahi Man!

This is Mark, also known to the community as “Mahi Man”

Mark is a volunteer star, working with professional sports teams such as the Warriors and community sports events to keep the teams hydrated.

And his work doesn't just end there, he is also responsible for keeping the morale boosted. Whether it's 7am on a cold morning or pouring with rain, you can count that the “Mahi Man” will be there in top spirits with a smile on his face, ensuring the morale is kept high at all times.

Sadly, their method of transport is on its last legs. Their trips start in Gisborne most weeks and Leityn (Mark's caregiver) spends upwards of $400 per week on fuel, out of his own pocket, getting the crew around.

People with disabilities are often forgotten about and there is such limited funding provided, so it's important that we try and use our platform to spread the word and unlock new opportunities for his hydration services.

We’re on a mission to raise money to purchase a new vehicle for his crew; which will not only serve as a way to get him to his sporting commitments, but also serve as something special for him to be proud of. It's important for everybody to have a purpose and Mark’s is his hydration service - lets help make this into something special!
