Help get my ADHD diagnosed so I can give mum and myself a better quality of life.

Christchurch, Canterbury

Kia ora peeps.

For those that run across this that don't know me my name is Robin (formerly Keith) and I'm a 37yo disabled and neurodivergent trans woman, full time carer for my mum Jo, and I could really do with a hand up so I can get my ADHD diagnosed and treated.

It's been incredibly debilitating lately, to the point where I can get the bare necessities done but anything more than that has become almost impossible, severely affecting mine and mums quality of life.

Public mental health services simply aren't accepting referrals for adult diagnosis so I'm forced to go private, and on the pittance winz pays for being mum's full time carer I can't afford that on my own.

Once I'm getting treatment and medication I can get back to providing her with proper care and be able to have the brain power to start crafting again as a side gig to make life a little less stressful.

Use of funds

Even if I don't hit my goal any donations will be put towards getting assessed. Any additional will be put towards an autism assessment as well.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
