Ron Preston's funeral

Ron Preston passed away recently due to an unexpected accident leaving his widow without funds for the funeral. Ron and his wife Bronwyn have been active participants and supporters of western riding for many, many years giving their time and energy to the organisations and interested people. I personally have known Ron and Bronwyn since the first day I turn up at Rotorua Western Riding Club, a complete novice, I didn't know anyone and Ron came and talked to me. He explained some of the finer points of western riding, some funny stories, a bit about his life, who was worth knowing etc, etc. The more people I have got to know all share the same story of this guy who just made you feel welcome right from the start. He was at every show, every committee meeting, every working bee. I don't know how we'll cope without him but I do know we will support his wife Bronwyn in every way possible. This couple who gave so freely of their time and energy deserve our support so please give as generously as you can.
