Rose and Pete need our help! Pete has been diagnosed as terminal with 6-12months left. Financial support is needed most right now.

Taranaki

Rose - always caring for others, selflessly till the very end, and most recently the huge loss of your best friend and soul sister Jude to cancer, and now suddenly Pete your longtime husband and confidante, has been diagnosed terminally ill with cancer also.

This is where its not hard to say, that life is incredibly unfair at times, and your life has taken a back seat for the people you love to ensure they are looked after until the end of their days. That is the kind of person you are, and you are amazing.

You never ask for help so here it is, I am offering it up for you, so that friends, family, and even kind strangers may be able to help invest a little into your life and the struggles you and Pete are facing everyday right now.

You cannot work because you are now (and have for a long time), become a caregiver, so financial support is easily what you need most right now to make life a little easier and a little less stressful.

But you have never asked for help, and you most definitely need it x x x

Rose provided me with this info recently: Pete had 6 weeks of radiation and also chemo, he stayed in hospital in Palmerston North the whole time because he became so unwell.... On Wednesday we saw the Oncologist from PN again, Pete had a Head chest and neck CT scan, results are the tumour in his neck is still half of what it initially was, the one in his lung is still half as well BUT it has now unfortunately spread to his lymph nodes and chest wall. Pete cannot swallow solid food so he has a Peg tube in his stomach that I feed him through..Pete asked the Doc "how long have I got?" and she said 6 to 12 months...

Rose currently needs financial support to help look after Pete in his final months, as she lovingly did for Jude.

As well as future funeral costs.

Rose has also told me that her car is the most important part of the puzzle piece right now as this allows her to support Pete to appointments to the GP and hospital, and not only that but support and look after Petes 90yr old mother as well.

They do have insurance but have not had it long enough (2years) to be able to access it yet.

I give thanks and am very grateful to anyone who donates to this very deserving woman and her family. She desperately needs some financial support right now to get through these hard months ahead.

Thank you for taking the time to check out this cause and an extra big thank you for making a donation, it really will make a difference.

I have known Rose for a long time and have watched her endure extreme hardship and loss, but she powers on and does all she can to take care of the people she loves, I wanted to do something to help ease the financial burden that Rose is experiencing right now since she has stopped working and has less income to take care of every day needs.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
