Help Purchasing Rougan bulk libre Blood sensors.
Waikato
Nov 4th my son Rougan was diagnosed with Type1 diabetes after a routine check which then turned into a lengthy hospital stay 🏥. Type1 Diabetes is the result of the body not creating enough insulin to keep blood glucose (sugar) levels in the normal range. Everyone needs some glucose in their blood, but if it’s too high it can damage your body over time. Unfortunatley a gene he would of been born with or it could have been hereditary. ATM ROUGAN injects insulin 4X daily into his stomach and pricks his fingers 10+ a day/🌙. So here we are fundraise funds to buy a Libre sensor & bulk patches which will sit under skin in his arm which can last for 10days. Which prevents the fingerprints.. The sensor will send notifications to my phone. Unfortunatley These sensors are NOT funded here in nz by pharmac. We had been advised that he can apply for a Cda Payment through work and income for around $95 fortnightly. There is info on this application in our UPDATES.. all money raised here will be used to purchase a Libre Reader and bulk sensors. Help with new costs that arise. Please feel free to ask questions. I will do my BEST to answer anything. Xxx

To purchase the libre sensor and all left over funds will be used to purchase patches which cost roughly $90 every ten days.

Kiaora whanau since our CGMS are still not currently under pharmac and still sadly cost an arm and leg which a lot of our small nz family's simply cannot afford I'm having to open up this page again.
